Recently published author, Saradjine Agenoir flew into Boston last Friday evening in preparation for her event. The following day, the Atlanta based author would be hosting her very first book signing for her newly published book, She Isn’t Even That Pretty - a relationship and self help book pegged as “the ultimate step-by-step guide to learning how to love God and yourself before fully committing to a relationship.” Agenoir was inspired to write the book, citing that, “growing up, she watched many relationships in her life crumble, including her own parents.” She Isn’t Even That Pretty was Agenoir’s answer to helping women perfect themselves internally in preparation to receive the romantic relationships that many seek.

With a title sure to attract a crowd, Agenoir’s book signing took place at Professional Image, a full service hair salon and clothing boutique on Blue Hill Ave in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood. Although from Boston by way of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Agenoir is currently based in Atlanta, GA and knew she would need assistance in pulling off the book signing flawlessly. She secured the services of blogger and event coordinator, Tatianna Samuel, to help her make this happen. They set up a small table with Agenoir’s book strategically placed on a lavender tablecloth with purple flowers as nice additions to the setup. The final touch were bookmarks with Agenoir’s images as keepsakes for book signing attendees.

Guests arrived between 12 noon and 2pm, and were immediately greeted by the sweet smell of warm scented candles. At the front, guests were greeted with a bright smile from Samuels, and were offered water and snacks. Agenoir made it a point to greet each and every guest, many of whom were family and friends, but included new faces as well. They purchased copies of She Isn’t Even That Pretty and then patiently waited in line for Agenoir to bless their copies with personalized, handwritten notes of appreciation for their support. It was a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with love.
